Introduction
On the day before PARTEC 2007 and POWTECH 2007 this workshop bridges the gap between academia and industry in particle technology.
Whereas PARTEC announces latest scientific research results and POWTECH demonstrates up-to-date equipment the workshop provides a platform to summarize the current state of particle characterization and intends to link the requirements of the user, the current solutions of the instrument makers and the scientific background of the academia.
The presentations are given by experts from prominent institutes, renowned vendors and experienced users, e.g. from:

Target
It addresses fundamental subjects of particle characterization, such as
- representation of analysis results (particle size distributions, characteristic values, shape descriptors)
- sampling and sample splitting
- dispersion of powders and stabilizing of suspensions
- international standardization
- quality management, validation of current methods, and reference materials,
as well as
- the current measuring principles and their
- typical industrial applications in laboratory and process environment.
